Description
With several new faces and a brand-new name, Q'd Up, the combo formerly known as FJQ, or Faculty Jazz Quartet delivers up some brilliant contemporary jazz, featuring Ray Smith on winds, Steve Lindeman on piano, Lars Yorgason on bass, and two drummer/percussionists, Ron Brough and Jay Lawrence, who alternate between the drum set and the front line of the band. Featuring jazz standards as well as original material by band members, this is a benchmark album in BYU jazz. The all-digital sound is clean and smooth, and the CD has been played on many jazz stations across the US.
